Universal Design Principle 6 suggest that everyday things are made with the intentions of requiring low physical effort. You see the design in many places and may not even realize. From handicap parking spots at the grocery store to the doors that you walk through at that same grocery store. Many things have been made or remade to fit the purpose of requiring low physical effort to allow people who need or require such things to give them more opportunity to live a fuller life. Many of these items we take for granted and often don’t see that they were built with the intention of requiring low effort. They have become normal everyday things. Thanks to Universal Design principles we are giving more people more opportunity.
